At one time we allowed

At one time we allowed logblock for use by players... using a logblock tool you could click on a block or a chest and see who has placed it, or used it last.  A request was made to allow players access to logblock once again...    here are the reasons why they explained.

1. For clans, to determine who is the biggest user and non-returned of items in clan home chests.   For most people that I asked this is the primary reason they'd log logblock.  So trust issues in clan homes could be resolved....

2. To know who griefed you... however, for the griefer, that might not always be something they want their victims to know.

3. To report xraying - using logblock on the straight pillar downs into your chest room... however, this could have a negative impact, people would be more creative in digging to your base.. and their are the false accusations when people legitimately get your coords through other methods.

So there it is.. personally, not in favor..

Log block

Yes, this would be a great idea because in bigdawg and my clan home, we have had MANY problems with ant, so we kicked him and later on he made his own clan... Well what would you know, it wasn't him. It was chocolate. LogBlock would have saved a friendship/ clan mate.

Logblock should remain an

Logblock should remain an admin-only tool (for admin-only cases!). Figuring out just who griefed your base or who's robbing you is part of the game, and part of the fun. Someone's bound to fess up at one point or get caught. It just...breaks the whole framework of things to have everyone knowing what everyone's up to, almost like if everyone could track your credit card, phone use, and internet use. People like privacy, and I like griefing people and pinning the blame on others or pitting clans against each other. You take away the ability to be devious if you just let everyone check everything. Not to mention it can be so abused. Just walk around, logblock every single thing...and with everyone logblocking, calling up that file so many times should work wonders for the CPU. Looking for a chest hidden in stone? Just logblock every goddamn rock in the base until you find one with a log. But do whatever. Minecraft's developers froodlenutzkied up the game sometime last year and it's beyond redemption.
