Tremor, seriously? Why are you listening to the rants of sir_peter and others. The people who cannot achieve greatness on the server, who once were powerful, will neglect it is their fault; and ultimately blame the server or you. Please do not remove EHM plugin.
Tired of whining, so pulled ExtraHardMode Plugin from YASMP.. now let the new whining begin.

Due to immense crying that YASMP was "too hard" to play due to our ExtraHardMode plugin... it is now being removed.. completely.. I'm tired of trying to edit a plugin designed to make the game harder and more interesting, so that it is less hard and less interesting. Therefor - it is my opinion that's it's both too much work and too much complaining to maintain. So from here on, the EHM Mod is GONE.
Now we'll have to deal with everyone complaining about how too easy everything is. Well, y'all made your bed.. now sleep in it. Enjoy the Pot-Spam the overabundance of all materials from massive and unrestricted farming.
I'm DONE - quitting, and never again going to attempt to modify the minecraft gaming environment to make it less boring. From here on out, YASMP is going to have the plain old vanilla Minecraft experience... oh wait, but what's this??? Minecraft 1.5 is coming soon.. and OMG GUESS WHAT - They are making it HARDER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess y'all are going to have to go cry to Mojang then.
Read about changes below to: Slightly more nerfed farming, increases in AI combat, skeletons anti-mele and increase range, zombies getting a buff, and more.

I can hear it now:

I liked it. It was annoying but it kept things interesting

Well I've not seen many threads about Minecraft needing more pluggings other than silly ones like trampolines and what not.
1.5 Nerfs and Buffs coming to default Minecraft (no plugins)
- Bonemeal no longer gives instant growth - instead, each use advances one growth stage, for example: Crops require seven bone meal.
- Creating an infinite water source no longer needs a block underneath, but has to have a water source block. (I'm not exactly certain but to me this sounds like you will need a 2 deep pool now)
- Made skeletons significantly harder to melee- They now shoot faster when their target is closer, They shoot players one block away, Now shoots from 15 blocks away, instead of 10, with improved accuracy
- Made zombies harder to shoo,They now group up on targets, When on fire, they can now set players on fire, Now become aggressive and come towards you when shot from further away
oh and just so everyone can be prepared for it.. when 1.5 comes out - its 99% likely we'll go to an Anarchy map for a week or so.. then YASMP will more than likely hhave to get a whole new world.. -- with all the new blocks coming and the major updates in redstone, 1.5 is going to basically be a YASMP wipe and restart.. I see no other way.
D: I'm so sorry! I like the challenge, but I was just... I don't know. I apologize. :/
I just want what will get the most people online. That's all I really care about now.
tremor rockin the meme arrows
lol pie ur so fun e xDD meme arrows ;) !!!1!!11! ftwwww
And here is an example of the average YASMP player.
teleport already takes 90% of the fun from a survival pvp server anyways. If i had to highlight my fav moments on pwn9 it would be back in 1.5 or so when we had the spawn above a large square pool of water, you'd have to jump off and fend for yourself. I had to run to my home about 1.5k blocks away everytime i died, but it was still fun memorizing trails and leaving markers for myself. Obviously i wasn't happy when stef xrayed my base, but i got over it quickly and made more cool bases with cheetos and kdxcher and graphiks. Then me and graph got svip and we just teleported each other everywhere , it was fun at first to be able to get to my teammates so quickly, but it tooks a lot of the challenge out of things. But like everyone, once you give them nice things, then try to take them away or modify them to make it harder, people will instantly rage, this is both true in the real world and the virtual online world. Lower taxes for 4 years, people don't pay much attention to it, raise it by a bit and every1 calls you a communist. Make yasmp insanely easy and easy to mass produce every item and people will be use to having an infinite supply of anything (diamond not included obviously). Then make it so that items that once was easily obtained now require much work and risk to get, people will cry and cry until they have no tears left, then cry some more.
When I was talking to some of the *edited* ak's on skype, we brought up our happiest moments on pwn9, everyone went back to minecraft beta, where items were actually hard to find, griefing bases was insanely hard without xray, teamwork was crucial in fights. Now you can spend a few days making a super mob farm/food farm, find some idiot willing to xray for you, and spam pots in fights to win 1v10s. Everyone blames potions when they came out, then they blamed precious stones when they came out, then they get mad when something is changed that causes any sort of inconvience to their master-plan of farming a ridiculous amount of certain items. Everyone is too use to living the easy life, though I shouldn't be the one talking seeing how i have about 3000 pumpkin pies and 1800 eggs somewhere on the map still.
I can already predict what's ganna happen once the map resets after anarchy 1.5. The top clans SoA and whatever bk clans out there that currently dominate the server will all rush across the map and stockpile on the first pumpkin seeds, melon seeds, netherwarts, horde blazefarms. Monopolizing anything they could possible think of, stockpiling everything in their bases. Then the xrayers come into the play and do what they do best, some will get caught, but most of them will get away with their deeds unpunished. Admin interventions will only look like it's helping on the exterior, but on the inside, it's been the same and will stay on the same cycle as it was when adventure mode was released. It's just how the cycle works, and I dont think adding any new plugins will change or alter it much.
Enjoyability differs person to person, and changes patch to patch. Like the theory of entropy, making something less enjoyable is always easier than making it more enjoyable. Pessimism defeats optimism everytime. Unless you add a plugin that changes the fundamtals of the way someone plays the game, i don't think you should be swayed by the voices of a few. Last time i checked, it was you in charge of adding new plugins. If you expect to recieve positive feedback when adding a plugin that makes the game harder, promising everyone that this will help them LONGTERM because of the lack of resources=lack of potions in pvp and whatnot, you will get surely shot down everysingle time. Count the times where you were (i'm going to use this word loosely) "forced" to remove a plugin that made the game easier, now count the times were you were "forced" to remove a plugin that people complained were too challenging for them. Bottom line, quit letting your judgement be swayed by the voices of a few who complain the first week after you add a new plugin, if you really believe them, then you should be required to un-admin yourself and play alongside them for a bit to see if it indeed is too difficult and ruins the gaming experience, because the general public will never see some plan that's proposed to supply the benefits in the near future as something that suits them well. Enough babbling, i just got really annoyed at how this game has deteriorated so much from the old minecraft i enjoyed (which is why i'm barely ever on mc anymore).

It's too late, it's gone. There were just too many people against it, even among the admins and moderators. Even Kmoore didn't like it.. so.. that pretty much sums it up.
